So last Friday night I bundled the kids up and loaded them into the red wagon for some good family fun. We went to Palo Cedro for the annual winter celebration (our 2nd year in a row). For those that celebrate Christmas it was a wonderful time for the kids to get a photo with Santa Clause as he was there and free photos were taken by local photographer Lowell Martinson (who does great work I might add)!
The event started out as an opportunity for the stores in the Palo Cedro Holiday strip mall to open their doors and give back with treats, hot chocolate, popcorn, etc. to the community. Now there are carolers (the Junction and Foothill school choirs and bands) as well as many other participants making for a fun event.
This year some great additions to the celebration included two parking lot bonfires (manned by our very own fire department staff) and more horse-drawn “sleighs” to carry you across the parking lot. If you haven’t attended this event before, try to make it next year as it is pretty fun for the kiddies!
I’ll add some video as I get it downloaded!

Hello. Let’s get acquainted!
